According to the news of the Zimbabwe Herald, 2 people who prepared a false negative Kovid-19 test result in exchange for money were caught at the country’s Chirundu border point opening to Zambia.
Police Spokesperson Paul Nyathi stated that fraudsters with no medical qualifications were caught with more than 300 blank test certificates.
Nyathi warned that the number of trips expected to increase due to New Year’s Eve might encourage those who produce fake documents and called on the public to have tests in authorized places.
Zimbabweans, who travel to neighboring countries to buy food, clothes and some other basic necessities due to the high cost of living in the country, also go to work abroad.
Nearly 11 thousand cases have been recorded in Zimbabwe so far, 291 people died in Zimbabwe, which obliged passengers who entered the country to show the test result document received within the last 48 hours after opening the border gates.
